New Google Nexus 7

According to Reuters, Google is planning to launch next-gen Google Nexus 7 this July. Major rumored "upgrades" from the original Nexus 7 model are these:

-- use of Qualcomm's Snapdragon (600? 800?) SoC instead of nVidia Tegra (4?);

-- better than 1280x800 screen resolution (chances are something like 1920x1080?);

-- retail price for base model (16 GB?) may start at $149. If it happens, original Nexii 7 will go for below $100 in July. It also may mean there will be no micro SD slot in these next-gen Nexus 7 models, again;

-- it's not really an "upgrade", but ASUSTek is rumored to be the manufacturer for the new Nexus 7. Google is generally pretty good in picking top-tier manufacturers for its brand devices, except for maybe some odd cases like that first Android 4 tablet;

-- chances are that the new Nexus 7 will be shipped with Android 5 (Key Lime Pie, Tablet Edition). Supposedly, KLP's use of multicore/multithreading computing of new Snapdragons will be improved, plus touch response lag will be diminished;

-- rumored plans to sell 8 mln new Nexii 7 units are reported, and this projected figure may support a $149 price estimate: 4.6 mln previous Nexus 7 models starting at $199 were sold so far.

My own guess is that the new model of Google 7 may be shown at 2013 Google I/O.
